What are the failover functions on an industrial router?

Failover is an essential function to improve the reliability and availability of network device by providing redundant implementations.

Generally, there are 3 ways to get access to internet, including wired network, WI-FI, cellular connection.

There are 2 types of network failover in a industrial router.

1. Within the single link like cellular connectivity, it basically has dual SIM failover. The main purpose of dual-Sim is to provide failover between different carrier network.
2. Between the wired, Wi-Fi and cellular connection, there is Link Backup, and that keeps you always online because it provides you with hot backup and load balancing. Once the main link is down, the backup link is automatically switched.
